Full-Time, Non-Exempt Position

About the Facilities Specialist Position

 

This is a maintenance position involving the custodial care and general maintenance of the corporate office facility and grounds.  Responsibilities include basic maintenance, minor repairs to maintain the property condition; cleaning to maintain cleanliness and appearance; outside grounds maintenance such as debris collection, sweeping and cleaning walks; and other duties as assigned.  Inspects and ensures property and grounds are secured in order to help safeguard people, property and equipment. 

 

Salary Range:  $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

Days/Hours:  Generally, Monday – Friday 10:00AM – 6:00PM

Location:  The Saxton Group Corporate Office: 2288 Monitor Street, Dallas TX 75207

 

General Job Requirements

  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years of age
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to meet the criteria set forth in the company’s safe driver policy
  • Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions in English
  • Ability to skillfully perform building/property cleaning activities
  • Knowledge and adherence of basic safety practices

 

General Expectations & Responsibilities

  • Inventory management of cleaning supplies
  • Clean and maintain floors using a floor machine or vacuum as necessary
  • Empty trash cans and break down boxes then transfer to dumpster on daily basis
  • Clean and maintain restrooms on daily basis (cleaning fixtures, floors, removing trash, restocking soap and sanitizer)
  • Spray, dust and wipe down office furniture (conference and training room tables and chairs) as necessary
  • Assistance with the set-up of meeting rooms
  • Set-up and tear down catered lunches
  • Water and maintain live plants
  • Fold t-shirts for Team Member of the Month awards
  • Maintaining general cleanliness and organization of kitchen area (loading/unloading dishwashing, cleaning/organizing refrigerator, cleaning microwave, wiping down counters/dining areas, restocking snack foods, brew tea and coffee, cabinet and drawer organization)
  • Clean and maintain storage area
  • Clean and maintain outside grounds (debris cleanup, sweep sidewalks, etc.)
  • General window and glass cleaning
  • Follow any assigned maintenance schedules
  • Assist with other departmental projects and tasks as needed
  • Adhere to all TSG policies, procedures, and practices

 

Physical Demands

  • Ability to work within all physical requirements of the position, which include but are not limited to: walking and standing during an entire shift or extensive periods of time, reach upwards or outward, twist, turn around, bending, carrying, stooping, wiping, lifting and emptying trashcans, climb up on a ladder in a timely fashion, ability to set up and work from ladders and step ladders, perform job tasks repetitiously at a very rapid pace for extensive periods of time, and ability to move or handle up to 50 pounds.
